Ohhh yeah. I will get to it some time this summer. I'm in a softball league now and busy with that on the weekends. Our preferred drink is beer and Ibuprofen. Bunch of old fatties out pretending to re-live their youth. wheee. I'm not doing softball anymore.

I was just playing to have some fun, but these kids now a days want to try and kill you. I play 3rd base and I actually had some guy cleat me for no reason and try to take me out. The play was at the bag and he was out by a mile. That did not stop him from trying to run me down. Little feller just kind of bounced off.

Sebastion, have you had a chance to try them?
I love a pretty stone but if its not a high functioning one there is not much point!
    Sure is pretty though.

This came in a Carborundum box as a "lot" of stones. Perhaps nobody else seen it as I was the only bidder.
I can risk the 20 to take a chance,

Cleaned up very nice. Preliminary test - it is VERY fast and close to 8k maybe more (very early to say though)
HHT right off the stone before stropping, after, dropping very nicely.
I'll put some really good steel to it in the coming days but already more than I had hoped for.

I put my test razor to this new stone today. I dressed the coticule to 2000 W/D to slow it down some but it still cuts petty fast. Very smooth mild abrasion felt with water.
Razor was recalibrated to an 8k Naniwa. Used with water only, 20 strokes the edge started to change so I went 60 total (remember this is a 4x2 stone!)
Edge is noticeably better - conservative rating of @10k.
I am shocked to say the least. The other one I have is @ 800-1000k, it is atrocious!
If it shaves as good as it looks, I'll be as happy as a puppy with two peters Tomorrow will tell.
